Free skills training. Real careers. Homes for families who've never had one.
Free training for the people of Roatán. A skill becomes a career. A career transforms a family. A family lifts a community.
Our students don't just learn — they build real homes for families who have never had one. Every panel is a lesson and a gift.
"We need 6 homes — 16×20 feet — built for families who already have a parcel of land. Just not a home to stand on it."
— Pastor Travis Morin · Founding Vision
For 13 years, Candida has been the one her church calls first. Always there, never asking for anything back. She and her son Andy have given their community countless hours, all while living in a home of scrap wood and sheet metal beside a stream that floods.
This September, the skills our students learned go to work for her. A real home — safe, permanent, on solid ground — raised by the same community she has carried for years. You can help build it.
This September our team raises two homes on Roatán: Candida’s, and one more for a family who owns land but has nowhere to live. The materials for both are already committed. Every gift now goes to travel, housing, and getting our volunteer team on the ground.

Every class is completely free. Lunch provided. All skill levels welcome.
Every class opens with a session on Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Timeliness — the foundation every trade skill is built on.
Instructors walk through the day's topic — Plan Reading, Wood Framing, Electrical, Plumbing — with bilingual syllabus and diagrams.
Students are handed a stack of lumber and real tools. Instructors guide them through the process with questions and live feedback until it's done right.
In 2022 this was a jungle clearing. Classes ran on a concrete slab under a blue tarp — when the heavy rains came, students covered their tools and found a tree for shelter. Today it's a fully equipped, air-conditioned vocational campus. Built by the students who learned in it.

Before RVT, I didn't know where to start.

Eber works in construction and came to RVT to learn proper techniques across multiple trades — building the kind of well-rounded skills that mean more work, better work, and a stronger future for his family.
